This is me.

This is the Y-Bridge in Zanesville.  My office is  in a building right beside it.  I went up on the roof and took the
picture.

As a counselor, I work primarily with kids and their families.  I provide direct service to the Muskingum County Juvenile Court and other agencies.  I try to focus on the family unit if at all possible.  I have been working with families since 1989.  I graduated with my Masters degree in Community Counseling in 1995 from Ohio University.  My bachelors degree is in elementary education.  I have always wanted to teach.  The teaching market was flooded when I graduated from OU in 1980 and  began working as a substitute for the local school system.  When my children were born I wanted to be able to work part time and I began working at Muskingum County Library Systems or what was called the John McIntire Library.  As an Assistant Children's Librarian.  I presented public presentations in the area schools using literature in creative dramatics and through puppetry.  From there I was hired to work at Muskingum County Children Services as a caseworker.  That is when I first became interested in counseling.

In 1993, I decided to pursue additional eduation and get my Masters Degree in the field of Counseling.  My first experience was working in a drug/alcohol treatment center.  From there I got involved in Mental Health.  I now am currenly contracting my services working with the courts, children services and various other agencies in the area.
